I have some free time coming up in France and my wife and I would like to see the mountains during winter. What is the best place for us and a few friends to go? We're not much of skiers and we would like to stay somewhere not too far away from civilization.

It's not the best ski in the Alps but it's very nice to ski there since the landscapes are beautifull (great views on the Mont Blanc) and you have trees everywhere. Defenitly a good place for people who are not ski fanatics but want to enjoy nice holidays. Megeve is pretty expensive but you can find more affordable accomodation in the villages around. Less
