My husband and I are delighted to have stumbled upon this little gem in Zagreb. The hotel is located in a lush, semi-forested area just off of Britanski Sqaure. Upon entry one is immediately taken with the warmth and beauty emanating from the interior. The breakfast at this hotel is pure heaven. Every morning they brought out large plates and baskets filled with meats, cheeses, fresh fruits, freshly cooked eggs, breads, and pastries. The panoramic view of the lush gardens make it easy to forget you're having breakfast in a hotel, and not in your own, exceptionally well decorated home. Every aspect of our stay at the Hotel President far exceeded our expectations. The room was as comfortable as it was lovely, and the 4 nights spent there offered the best sleep we'd both had in nearly a month of traveling within the Balkans. We both consider it one of the top hotels in the world, and definitely our favorite hotel in the region. It is now our hotel of choice for all future trips to Zagreb!

Looking from the lobby, across the café, and through wall-sized windows, it feels as if you were in a tree house with a drop off, infinite view of the forest. Restaurant sliding glass walls disappear for morning coffee or evening summer breezes...

If ever you go to Zagreb - make sure you stay here! Really, really nice hotel, the kindest service ever, wonderful breakfast , clean and beautiful room, quiet little garden with a terrace downstairs which was perfect for a beer! You just can't find a better hotel in Zagreb! Date of stay: July 2010
