Dolmabahce Palace Istanbul

"I have visited many palaces in my life, but what i have seenhere seemed to me the most beautiful one. even the "chateau deversailles" the very famous palace near paris , looks like a gardenshed to me, compared to this one ! the dolmabahcepalace is not that old, it was built between 1844 and 1853, and isa three-storied building 284 m / 932 ft long. the 285 rooms, theharem, the 46 lounges (and 6 hammams) are heavily furnished anddecorated in rococo style. marble and alabaster, bronze, gold,silver,..."
