The Pompidou Centre, dedicated to modern and contemporary creation, sits right in the heart of the city. It brings together ... the largest collection of modern art in Europe, a library, cinemas, show venues, a musical research institute, activities areas, a café and a restaurant, Le Georges, perched on the top floor and enjoying a great view over the rooftops of Paris. The external architecture of the building, designed by Renzo Piano and Richard Rogers, is equally famous for its daring and ultra-modern appearance, largely due to the supporting structure composed of glass, metal girders, vivid colours and escalators inside transparent caterpillar-shaped tubes. Also the Atelier Brancusi presents the universe and major works of the eponymous 20th-century sculptor. Meno

Not only is this museum good for its ground breaking modern art, but also its architecture! Located in the Marias (3rd arrondisment) it is a very modern building that looks like a building turned inside out. The view from the top is also breathtaking!
